In an interim final rule published during October, the Federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of Inspector General (OIG) of the Department of Health and Human Services indicated that Accountable Care Organizations will be excluded from enforcement of certain “anti-kickback” statutes for at least another year.
